Hawker Hurricane

Hawker Hurricane Mk.I. Top speed: 340mph/547kph. Armament: 8x Machine gun. The Hurricane was one of the two main fighters and the workhorse of the RAF during the Battle of Britain. It was more numerous than the Spitfire and was responsible for shooting down more enemy aircraft but the newer Spitfire with its sleeker lines was more famous. The Hurricane was used as a successful ground attack aircraft later on in the war while the Spitfire became the primary fighter of the RAF, staying competitive through constant upgrades.
